Where the magic begins!
Hello and welcome! I am Lauren, the creator of this, yes another Disney CRP advice blog to which if you’re applying to do this program you have already read through hundreds of these and watched all the vlogs that are available! And to those who have just stumbled across my blog welcome to you as well even though this may seem a little uninteresting to you if you aren’t planning on packing up your life and moving to Walt Disney World for a year!
So a little bit about me! I am a 20 something year old American Studies and History graduate (sounds fancy, I know) who still lives at home, works in retail, drinks copious amounts of tea , enjoys a spot of baking and who has yet to decide what she wants to do in her ‘adult life’ so is planning on experiencing life at Disney for an entire year because why the heck not!
After toying with the idea of applying to take part in the CRP for just over a year, I decided to take the plunge and apply for the program in January 2017. Why did I apply? Well I first visited WDW in September 2016 (yes I know crazy to think I have only been there once!) and when I came home from the amazing holiday, it hit me that I wanted to create magic for guests just like so many cast members did on my first visit to Walt Disney World; being able to create such amazing memories and magic moments, combined with the fact that you could represent your home town and also live in Florida for an entire year ticked all the correct boxes for me when it came to applying for the program!
And now I'm here writing to all those who need some help and insight into the CRP application process! I have decided to make this blog because when I was applying for the program I heavily relied upon only a small handful of advice blogs/vlogs to aid in my application and my subsequent interviews to which many were outdated *boooooooo*. So here I am! Presenting to you all the info, advice and more from the January 2017 application round of the Cultural Representative Program and all the potential adventures that will unfold!
